Wairarapa Family Photographer - always a pleasure! Oh I adore these kids! This is the third time I have photographed this gorgeous trio. They now live in Australia, but when they are back in NZ mum will book them in for a shoot. Its so cool to see them grow and change over the years. NZIPP Iris Awards 2020

2020-09-09T13:27:34+12:00

NZIPP Iris Awards 2020 I wasn't going to enter this year - its a such a rollercoaster. The choosing of images, how to edit them (or not depending on the category), making sure everything is correct before entering, the waiting. Did I mention the waiting? The ups an downs of watching your work being judged. Every year I say why do we do it?! But its the learning, the professional development, seeing your work judged by your fellow professional photographers (not just your mum, who loves everything you photograph!). And the FOMO - judging week isn't anywhere near as exciting is you have any work in! This year the awards were run a bit differently - all of the judging was done online and there were no prints to send in.  I have to admit, as stressful as it can be, I always love seeing the work printed, as [...]

Martinborough Wedding Photographer – Charlotte & Craig

2020-12-17T14:35:12+13:00

Martinborough Wedding Photographer - Charlotte & Craig Classic, timeless, elegant, country chic. Stunning location, stunning bride and groom, family, friends - a casual relaxed affair. What more could you ask for? Oh..... perfect light for photography - and we got that too! This wedding was all about bringing all the people the couple love the most, all together to help share their special day. I loved hearing Charlotte's story of how they met - every girl needs a friend like that! "We met via a mutual friend who introduced us at a spin glass! I hated every minute of it and then I spied Craig....she told me he came every Monday and so I started going. A few weeks down the track she then invited us to a few drinks, set us up, supplied some booze and the rest of history really!" Thanks for having me along Charlotte and [...]

2020-07-20T16:35:13+12:00

Featherston Wedding Photographer - Emma & Eugene Emma & Eugene were due to get married this month, but due to the uncertainty of Covid, the celebrations were pushed out to another year. We were lucky enough to get it this fun engagement shot earlier in the year. It was a great chance to have a look at the local locations and get to know each other a bit better and also for Emma & Eugene to capture some special memories of their engagement.  x

Wairarapa Commercial Photographer – Workshop Designs, Masterton

2020-07-20T15:22:43+12:00

Wairarapa Commercial Photographer - Workshop Designs, Masterton I hadn't really thought much about what goes on behind the scenes of creating a beautiful kitchen, but my day documenting what goes on at Workshop designs was fascinating! What really stood out for me was the quality craftsmanship, bespoke approach and the attention to detail. Will, Phoebe and their team are passionate about what they do and it really comes through in the final product, using all the highest quality components. Check out their website to see the finished results - but in the meantime, here a snippet of the hard work behind it all. www.workshopdesigns.co.nz

Wairarapa Family Photographer - My Fam :) I was hoping to see this crazy bunch over in the UK in July. But like so many others my plans are now up in air and we have no idea when we will see each other again. :( In the meantime I am super thankful for having them come to stay last year and getting lots of quality time together.  And I am also super grateful that I got to photograph them and that I get to see these lovely photos, with their beautiful smiles and playful nature. Love you guys. xx

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer – Crystal & Rukas, Ekatahuna Country Wedding

2020-04-04T11:40:43+13:00

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer - Crystal & Ruka Crystal & Ruka were going for a relaxed day, with a natural feel. The ceremony took place in  the middle of the camp ground which was surrounded by the most beautiful tall trees with a little river, just a short walk away. With them both being family orientated, it was mainly just family with a few close friends who they had known since school. Ruka and Crystal knew of each other during school, but didn't have much to do with each other until the later years where they grew close, through the connection of Ruka's sister. They were soon  inseparable, working, living and travelling the world together!! They had been together for 4 years when Ruka proposed, in their newly bought home. Crystal tells me - 'the proposal was just a very unromantic, unexpected knee drop in the lounge haha!' Sounds pretty [...]

Beautiful day, friends and family what more could you ask for? The locations were pretty special too - a helicopter ride meant that we were able to head up on to the family farm, to a spot very dear the the family. Thanks so much for having me along! x
