NZIPP Iris Awards 2017

2017-06-30T01:56:29+12:00

NZIPP Iris Awards 2017   After entering the NZIPP Iris Awards last  year, for the first time again in years I was a little nervous entering again! I had set myself a target, so it was a little scarier then last year when I was just happy to get any award! The New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography  has a honors system, where you work your way up over the years depending on how many points you have  in total and how many you earned within a 4 year period through the awards. Because I have been a bit sporadic with my entries over the years, I had never achieved the required points within the timeframe to work my way up. So, after last year gaining 6 bronzes, I knew I need at least four more bronzes to get me the Associate level. And if I dared to dream big, I [...]

Kapiti Coast Wedding Photographer – Tim & Cath’s Sudbury Farm Wedding

2017-04-13T01:12:55+12:00

Kapiti Coast Wedding Photographer - Tim & Cath's Sudbury Farm Wedding I really do love shooting weddings over on the Kapiti Coast, even if it is a bit of a long trip from the Wairarapa. I was thrilled when Cath & Tim asked me to photograph their wedding over at Sudbury Farm in Te Horo. I had heard lots about this venue, but was yet to photograph there so was super excited the day of the wedding! Cath & Tim had planned a lovely relaxed wedding surrounded by friends and family - they were all involved, even the family dog wanted to get involved! I really enjoyed this bueatiful wedding - we couldn't have wished for more. Thanks Cath & Tim for having me along. Sharisse xx

Martinborough Wedding Photographer – Jono & Bridget

2017-03-30T01:40:19+13:00

Martinborough Wedding Photographer - Jono & Bridget Given the summer we have had, this was one of the rare occasions when the sun did shine! Another wonderful Wairarapa wedding. Jono & Bridget were married out on Jono's family farm out the back of Martinborough. The day had a rustic, relaxed feel and for Bridget & Jono it was all about family. Everyone was involved - all  7 of the nieces and nephews and even Bridget's two horses! A few weeks before the wedding I went out for a recce and Bridget & Jono took me up to some hills at the back of the property and I knew it would be the prefect spot for some photographs. The problem we had was deciding where we should go - as you can imagine, we really were spoilt for choice as to where to go! Jono & Bridget - thanks so much [...]

Masterton Wedding Photographer – Eva & Jamie

2017-02-19T23:19:41+13:00

Masterton Wedding Photographer - Eva & Jamie I first met Eva a couple of years ago as a Bridesmaid at a wedding I was photographing. When she emailed a year later to say she was getting married and could I be the photographer, I was thrilled! Eva & Jamie are such a cool couple. Full of fun and laughter and super relaxed about everything. Nothing phases them at all. The day started with the boys getting ready in a house full of friends who had made the trip over from the UK. We then headed off to see the girls. After spending some time with Eva's parents you could see instantly where she get her good humour and sense of fun from. In fact Jamie's parents are the same - I can see a very bright and happy future for these guys! The wedding was held at the lovely St [...]

Otaki Wedding Photographer – The Milk Station, Kelly & Lyle

2017-02-17T00:14:02+13:00

Otaki Wedding Photographer - The Milk Station, Kelly & Lyle   OMG - this wedding was simply stunning! I had seen lots of lovely weddings from The Milk Station, but was yet to photograph a wedding there. When Kelly emailed to let me know that they had changed the venue for their wedding and that is was going to be The Milk Station and was just a little excited! Just before Christmas I met with Kelly over there to check it out and it didn't disappoint! This wedding was always going to be absolutely gorgeous with Kelly and her creative talents, but it now all had the perfect setting! Roll on January and this wedding was every bit as perfect as what I had hoped for. Kelly & Lyle were so incredibly sweet together - you could see just how much they meant to each other. Andf having their two small [...]

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer – Jackie & Con’s wedding at Poppies, Martinborough

2018-01-30T00:05:58+13:00

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer - Jackie & Con's wedding at Poppies, Martinborough   What an absolutely stunning day this turned out to be! Up until about three weeks prior to the date we had no idea if the wedding was going ahead or not. Con had had an accident a few months prior and when Jackie let all the vendors know they were not sure if he would be recovered enough in time for the big day. We were are very relaxed about it and happy to go ahead at a moments notice or postpone if needed. Jackie and Con decided to go ahead and they really couldn't have picked a better day for it! It was one of those typical Martinborough summers days, beautiful warm sunshine all day! Jackie got ready surrounded by family - everyone pitching in to help make the day run smoothly. Jackie looked incredible but not [...]
