Tal & Aiden – Martinborough Town Hall
Love stories come in all shapes and sizes, and Tal and Aiden’s is a beautiful one. They first met three years ago, and on the same day, three years later, Aiden proposed to Tal. It was a romantic gesture that set the tone for their upcoming wedding, which was originally planned for March 2022 but had to be brought forward due to Covid-19.
Aiden’s proposal was simple but heartfelt. They spent the day doing all the things they did on their first date, including going for coffee at Raglan Roast and checking out some live music at the Wellington Street Festival Cupa Dupa. They then returned home, where they exchanged anniversary gifts. Tal opened a jewellery box, thinking it was earrings, but to her surprise, Aiden was on one knee, asking her to marry him. Without hesitation, she said yes, and they began planning their dream wedding.
However, with the ongoing pandemic and concerns for their elderly relatives, Tal and Aiden had to make some last-minute changes. They brought their wedding forward to February 2022, and the supper room in the Martinborough Town Hall was booked for the ceremony. The reception was a very casual gathering at Aiden’s parents’ home in Greytown.
Despite the change of plans, Tal and Aiden were excited to get married and celebrate their love. As luck would have it, it rained on their wedding day. They embraced it and were grateful for the opportunity to get creative with indoor locations at the Martinborough Town Hall.
We captured some beautiful shots of the couple, and the love and joy they shared on their special day is evident in the photos. The reception at Aiden’s parents’ home was also a relaxed and enjoyable affair, filled with good food, drinks, and company.
Tal and Aiden’s engagement and wedding are a testament to the power of love, commitment, and flexibility. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, they adapted and made changes to ensure their loved ones could be there to witness their union. And as they say, it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day, so Tal and Aiden have a lot of luck coming their way!
Congratulations to the happy couple on their engagement and wedding, and may their love continue to grow and flourish in the years to come.
