Tironui Farm, Martinborough Wedding Photography – Jo & Sophie

2021-08-26T12:22:13+12:00

Tironui Farm, Martinborough Wedding Photography - Jo & Sophie To say that I enjoyed photographing this wedding was an understatement. These two girls are just so awesome to be around - they instantly felt like friends. They wanted their wedding be relaxed and the most important thing was that all their guests had a good time - a fun day hanging out with all the people who are special to them Anyway, I could go on but I will let the pictures do the talking. Sharisse x

Silverstream Retreat Wedding Photography – Lynne & Barry

2021-08-26T12:39:34+12:00

Silverstream Retreat Wedding Photography - Lynne & Barry Lynn & Barry had been together for over 16, so it was time to time the knot! I was lucky enough that I had met Lynne & Barry previously through Barry's daughter so was absolutely delighted to be asked to photograph their day. They wanted it it be relaxed, informal and about the family celebrating together. I think they mailed that perfectly with their morning wedding and afternoon BBQ back at home. The thing I loved most about this wedding was that the bridal party was their adult children along with their granddaughters. How special is that?! And so much fun to photograph. Much love Sharisse x

Nikon NZIPP Iris Awards 2021

2021-08-20T12:01:38+12:00

Nikon NZIPP Iris Awards 2021 The NZIPP Iris Awards are always a highlight of the year for us Photographers. Its a chance to to challenge yourself and push your creativity to new levels. This year was very different, as it was the first for me serving on the Honours Council, who are the board responsible for organising and running the awards. It was a full on week, very busy, but I am immensely proud of what our team achieved - particularly as we were a new team had only met for the first time in February! We had the leadership of Tracey Scott, Honours Council Chair steering us through, and it was a real team effort. We couldn't have done it without the incredible support around us - the NZIPP board, Sarah McGregor (NZIPP Executive Director) the Ucol students, the events team, the AV crew and the IT [...]

The Landing Wedding Venue – Becca & Steve

2021-03-26T12:48:01+13:00

The Landing Wedding Venue - Becca & Steve Where do I start? Such a beautiful, perfect day.  The one thing that Steve and Becca really wanted, was to be able to spend as much time with their guests as possible. The photos were super important to them, but like many couples they didn't want to be away from their guests for too long and wanted plenty of time to hang out with their bridal party. I am totally on the same page with this - weddings are all about sharing your day with the people that mean the most to you. The plan was to get ready early and then have a grazing platter for lunch at the brides parent's lifestyle block, with time just hanging out, relaxing and chatting with their best friends. I got plenty of candid images before a quick 20mins taking some more formal photos. [...]

Wharekauhau Wedding – Pete & Sam

2021-03-24T14:16:10+13:00

Wharekauhau Wedding - Pete & Sam Back to where it all began. Pete proposed to Sam up at the lookout at Wharekuhau Lodge, so it was only fitting that they would invite their close friends and family back to Wharekauhau for an intimate get together to celebrate their wedding day. The 'Wild coast Track' lived up to its name and we were treated to dramatic stormy skies and a wild wind that is the making of this rugged coastline. Thanks for braving the weather with me to get these images full of fun and drama! Thanks for having me along to share in your special day. xx

NZIPP Iris Awards 2020

2020-09-09T13:27:34+12:00

NZIPP Iris Awards 2020 I wasn't going to enter this year - its a such a rollercoaster. The choosing of images, how to edit them (or not depending on the category), making sure everything is correct before entering, the waiting. Did I mention the waiting? The ups an downs of watching your work being judged. Every year I say why do we do it?! But its the learning, the professional development, seeing your work judged by your fellow professional photographers (not just your mum, who loves everything you photograph!). And the FOMO - judging week isn't anywhere near as exciting is you have any work in! This year the awards were run a bit differently - all of the judging was done online and there were no prints to send in.  I have to admit, as stressful as it can be, I always love seeing the work printed, as [...]

Martinborough Wedding Photographer – Charlotte & Craig

2020-12-17T14:35:12+13:00

Martinborough Wedding Photographer - Charlotte & Craig Classic, timeless, elegant, country chic. Stunning location, stunning bride and groom, family, friends - a casual relaxed affair. What more could you ask for? Oh..... perfect light for photography - and we got that too! This wedding was all about bringing all the people the couple love the most, all together to help share their special day. I loved hearing Charlotte's story of how they met - every girl needs a friend like that! "We met via a mutual friend who introduced us at a spin glass! I hated every minute of it and then I spied Craig....she told me he came every Monday and so I started going. A few weeks down the track she then invited us to a few drinks, set us up, supplied some booze and the rest of history really!" Thanks for having me along Charlotte and [...]

Featherston Wedding Photographer – Emma & Eugene

2020-07-20T16:35:13+12:00

Featherston Wedding Photographer - Emma & Eugene Emma & Eugene were due to get married this month, but due to the uncertainty of Covid, the celebrations were pushed out to another year. We were lucky enough to get it this fun engagement shot earlier in the year. It was a great chance to have a look at the local locations and get to know each other a bit better and also for Emma & Eugene to capture some special memories of their engagement.  x
