Martinborough Town Hall Wedding Photographer – Tal & Aiden

2023-02-22T17:27:24+13:00

Tal & Aiden - Martinborough Town Hall Love stories come in all shapes and sizes, and Tal and Aiden's is a beautiful one. They first met three years ago, and on the same day, three years later, Aiden proposed to Tal. It was a romantic gesture that set the tone for their upcoming wedding, which was originally planned for March 2022 but had to be brought forward due to Covid-19. Aiden's proposal was simple but heartfelt. They spent the day doing all the things they did on their first date, including going for coffee at Raglan Roast and checking out some live music at the Wellington Street Festival Cupa Dupa. They then returned home, where they exchanged anniversary gifts. Tal opened a jewellery box, thinking it was earrings, but to her surprise, Aiden was on one knee, asking her to marry him. Without hesitation, she said yes, and they [...]

Nikon NZIPP Iris Awards 2021

2021-08-20T12:01:38+12:00

Nikon NZIPP Iris Awards 2021 The NZIPP Iris Awards are always a highlight of the year for us Photographers. Its a chance to to challenge yourself and push your creativity to new levels. This year was very different, as it was the first for me serving on the Honours Council, who are the board responsible for organising and running the awards. It was a full on week, very busy, but I am immensely proud of what our team achieved - particularly as we were a new team had only met for the first time in February! We had the leadership of Tracey Scott, Honours Council Chair steering us through, and it was a real team effort. We couldn't have done it without the incredible support around us - the NZIPP board, Sarah McGregor (NZIPP Executive Director) the Ucol students, the events team, the AV crew and the IT [...]

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer – Crystal & Rukas, Ekatahuna Country Wedding

2020-04-04T11:40:43+13:00

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer - Crystal & Ruka Crystal & Ruka were going for a relaxed day, with a natural feel. The ceremony took place in  the middle of the camp ground which was surrounded by the most beautiful tall trees with a little river, just a short walk away. With them both being family orientated, it was mainly just family with a few close friends who they had known since school. Ruka and Crystal knew of each other during school, but didn't have much to do with each other until the later years where they grew close, through the connection of Ruka's sister. They were soon  inseparable, working, living and travelling the world together!! They had been together for 4 years when Ruka proposed, in their newly bought home. Crystal tells me - 'the proposal was just a very unromantic, unexpected knee drop in the lounge haha!' Sounds pretty [...]

Family Photography Wairarapa/Wellington – The Smith Family

2019-05-31T02:44:06+12:00

I have been lucky enough to photograph this beautiful family over the years - each pregnancy & newborn session with all three children. Its always an absolute please to see how they have grown and welcome the newest family member. This time we did things a little differently and opted for an outdoor lifestyle on their wee block of land, where they have just finished building their new home, nestled in among the olive trees. I always love the natural flow of shoots like this - giving the children time to be themselves and play in an environment where they feel so at home.

NZIPP Iris Awards 2018

2018-08-10T01:55:37+12:00

NZIPP Iris Awards 2018 Its that time of year again and it still makes me nervous! Luckily I came away with 7 awards, which I was thrilled with, so here is the low down..... First up, my silver award from the NZIPP Iris Awards. This image was entered into the Portrait In Camera Artistry Category. This category celebrates in-camera capture so no photoshopp trickery allowed! I had about 9 or so images from this shoot which I was going to entered last year, but I couldn't quite decide how to lay them out. In the end I opted to use just these three shots of my boys playing around on a wooden boat at the park. I decided that take the documentary style images and use the repetition of the circles and the lines of the boat to create a stronger graphic. I was thrilled to receive a bronze award [...]

The Landing Masterton Wedding Photographer – Jade & Craig

2018-02-02T02:46:32+13:00

The Landing Masterton Wedding Photographer - Jade & Craig The Landing in Masterton is one of my favorite venues in the Wairarapa and its always a pleasure to work there. It was no exception for Jade & Craig's big day. This day was perfect from start to finish and with two young children in tow, these two were super relaxed about everything on the day and leading up to it. Being farmers, we made the most of the rural setting behind the property. Their two young boys loved the tractor and the doves but by the end of the day, all the excitement of the wedding day had got the better of them! Jade & Craig, thanks so much for having me along! x
