OMG – this wedding was so much fun! I had a ball working with these guys on their wedding, and it was super fun to work with lots of people I know!

I know Kirsten and Graham through running Ultra Marathons – I have met them many time, usually with us looking bedraggled and worst for wear, along a trail somewhere at silly o’clock! So, I was super excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding!

Kirsten and Graham and both vegans and the keeping their environmental impact to a minimum was super important to them, so everything was re-purposed and reused as much as possible for the decorations and the guests were treated to a vegan feast to die for!

The location was a key for Kirsten and Graham. Seeing as both Kirsten and Graham are Ultra Distance Trail runners, they both have spent many,many hours running the trails that go around this stunning lake. In fact Kirsten has even run all the way this lake, covering a total of 161 kilometers! So it only seemed fitting to hold the celebrations at a venue overlooking lake Tarawera.

I think it is fair to say that they are very much in love, with each other, this little piece of NZ and the adventures they share around this unique spot.
