More babies…..

2013-05-27T09:23:15+12:00

A good friend of mine Nicola is expecting her first baby in a few weeks. To remember this time we took some photographs with her other baby - Roco the faithful dog. Winter is such a lovely time for portrait shoots on location.

Toddlers – so cute!!

2013-05-27T09:19:16+12:00

Its always so nice when previous clients come back to visit. Recently I had the pleasure of working with little Sam. He is the cutest wee boy and I was fortunate enough to photograph his parents wedding nearly 6 years ago. It was so lovely to catch with the family, and see how everyone was getting on. It was a lovely winters day and we had lots of fun playing and running around in the leaves. Here are a few of my favourite shots

Jo & Stu’s Wedding – Brackenridge, Martinborough

2015-05-18T02:47:45+12:00

Its that time of year where the albums keep coming in. This album arrived yesterday and I had to share it with you. Jo & Stu were married at Brackenridge in Martinborough in February and we put together this Queensberry Digital album. I am having a lot of fun designing with the digital albums at the moment - there is just so much flexibility, although I still like to keep the designs clean and simple.

Elegance of days gone by…

2015-05-18T02:48:14+12:00

I was really exciting about shooting Anna and Damian's wedding long before wedding season kicked off. Anna had planned the most amazing day based the the elegance of the Art Deco era. They were married at the Gladstone church with the reception at the family home, also in Gladstone. Here is one of my favourite images from the day along with a snippet of their Queensberry album.

Susan & Daniels Wedding at the Martinborough Hotel

2015-05-18T02:48:32+12:00

Susan and Daniel were married at the Martinborough Hotel. Their wedding was beautiful and it was a privilege to be part of their special day. Susan and Daniel have been together for a long tine, I think it is about 10 years. Working with them on the day and listening to the speeches - what really stuck was me was how in love they still are. More so than ever before. I always think that a testament to a strong relationship is how things are 10, 20 years down the track. I know myself that 12 years and two children later, its not always plain sailing. With patience, commitment, understanding and allowing each other to grow it is amazing how love can grow into something so much more special than what you thought it could be. Weddings like Susan and Daniels always bring this home to me and more often [...]

Jess & Tavita’s Wedding – Martinborough, December 2009

2015-05-18T02:49:29+12:00

Jessica & Tavita are Wairarapa locals, I have known her some of her family members for a few years now so this was a great wedding to photograph. The boys looked very stylish in their cream suits and the girls looked fab in their short pink numbers! The ceremony was held at the Riesling Retreat vineyards followed by the reception at the Martinborough Town Hall. It was certainly a fun day to shoot and these guys knew how to party! Here is a snippet from their album - a stunning Queensberry Duo with a delicious contemporary leather cover in Ivory. We were lucky enough that the team at Queensberry to decided to feature this album on their blog - this is such an honour! See the link here - http://www.queensberry.com/blog/2010/05/zealand-duo/

Emma & Matt’s Wedding – Brackenridge, Martinborough Nov 2009

2015-05-18T02:49:51+12:00

It was a windy start to the season with the wedding of Emma & Matt at Brackenridge, Martinborough. The girls had their hair and makeup finished to perfection from the team at Hill Cook, and with Emma's choice of deep purple for the bridesmaid dress and vibrant flowers the whole look was stunning. The photo shoot was at a couple of nearby locations - this is the best part about working in Martinborough, you don't have to go far to get some great spots to work in! Here are some of my favs from the day -
