Un-fixed Lumen Prints: The Dual Process Model

This work explores the grief theory known as The Dual Process Model. The griever oscillates between loss oriented and restoration-oriented stressors, allowing the bereaved to experience grief in dosages and much needed respite. When we encounter an out of order loss, an event that is so fixed and finite it can feel so surreal and so alien, as if it never happened at all. This video explores the rhythmic nature of moving in and out of intense grief and grief avoidance that is a common experience amongst grievers.
