Beautiful Decay

I tend to keep flowers for a long time – I am not sure why I was given these ones? I love watching them change as they age and dry out. I couldn’t resist photographing these before they were disposed of. Firstly the light petals in water with netting, and then adding the darker colours and a rich dark water to hold them. I left them even longer in my studio until they started to decay –  the process is fascinating and incredible beautiful.
