Queensberry Wedding Albums – Tina & David

Queensberry Wedding Albums - Tina & David   I always feel that a wedding isn't really finished until the album is complete. Its that time of year again when I am busy finishing up all the albums from over summer, and for me  this is the best bit. Seeing all the images form the day put together to tell the story of your day as it unfolds. I always so to couples that although this is your album it not just for you. Its also for your children, your children's children. A way to sit together and look over the memories from the day when this little branch of your family starting. I think all to to often, we don't realise just how important photographs are until they are gone. If you want to make sure you still have them in 10, 20, 30 years time then print them. Even better put them in a beautiful album.

Poppies Martinborough Wedding Photographer – Mel & Ants

Poppies Martinborough Wedding Photographer - Mel & Ants I just loved, loved shooting this wedding! Mel and Ants are just so awesome and to top it off it was an off season wedding which I just love! There is a lot to be said for getting married over the cooler months - you get a wider choice of vendors, the light is softer and you also get to enjoy not only the soft light, but sunset, the blue hours and if you are lucky a clear night and a wedding photograph under the milkyway! What more could you ask for! Thanks so much for having me along Mel & Ants! xx

Martinborough Wedding Photographer – Kelly & Mark

Martinborough Wedding Photographer - Kelly & Mark Well, what a location for a wedding! Kelly's family own a farm in Martinborough, so its was only fitting that this is where the wedding was to be held. So all the yutes came out to get everyone up and over the farm to where it was all happening - I think we can say that it was well worth it!

Martinborough Wedding Photographer – David & Tina

Martinborough Wedding Photographer - David & Tina I always love a wedding at Brackenridge, Martinborough and this one was no different. Tina & David had their two children in the wedding party and the day really was all about family. One of the really special touches was having a magician at the recepetion - David's grandfather was a magician so this was a lovely nod to him. Thanks so much for having me along for your wonderful day! Sharisse xx

Lacewood Wedding Photographer – Jess & Daniel

Lacewood Wedding Photographer - Jess & Daniel I love an autumn wedding! The light is lovely and soft, the colours of the trees are stunning and its a great excuse to choose a cosey venue for a fun party with your guests. Jess & Daniel were married in the garden at Lacewood, at Tuhitarata Estate back in May followed up by a reception in the cosey in site barn. It was four seasons in one day! From sunshine to hail, we had it all. I absolutely loved working with Jess & Daniel - so much fun and so relaxed and such beautiful families. Thanks so much for having me along to document your special day. Sharisse xx

Martinborough Wedding Photographer – Jono & Bridget

Martinborough Wedding Photographer - Jono & Bridget Given the summer we have had, this was one of the rare occasions when the sun did shine! Another wonderful Wairarapa wedding. Jono & Bridget were married out on Jono's family farm out the back of Martinborough. The day had a rustic, relaxed feel and for Bridget & Jono it was all about family. Everyone was involved - all  7 of the nieces and nephews and even Bridget's two horses! A few weeks before the wedding I went out for a recce and Bridget & Jono took me up to some hills at the back of the property and I knew it would be the prefect spot for some photographs. The problem we had was deciding where we should go - as you can imagine, we really were spoilt for choice as to where to go! Jono & Bridget - thanks so much for having us along to photograph your special day. Sharisse x

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer – Jackie & Con’s wedding at Poppies, Martinborough

Wairarapa Wedding Photographer - Jackie & Con's wedding at Poppies, Martinborough   What an absolutely stunning day this turned out to be! Up until about three weeks prior to the date we had no idea if the wedding was going ahead or not. Con had had an accident a few months prior and when Jackie let all the vendors know they were not sure if he would be recovered enough in time for the big day. We were are very relaxed about it and happy to go ahead at a moments notice or postpone if needed. Jackie and Con decided to go ahead and they really couldn't have picked a better day for it! It was one of those typical Martinborough summers days, beautiful warm sunshine all day! Jackie got ready surrounded by family - everyone pitching in to help make the day run smoothly. Jackie looked incredible but not be outshine was their gorgeous wee son! Oh my goodness he was just so adorable! The ceremony and reception was an intimate affair with just a few close friends and family. It was all very beautiful, romantic and simple. My favorite type of wedding! Jackie & Con - thank you so much for sharing your special day with me, I wish you all the very best for your future together!     Vendor Shout out -  Venue - Poppies Martinborough Catering - Nick Arnold, Medici Celebrant - Pamela Bailey Hair & Makeup - Jo Bently, Calma Therapies

Last minute wedding planning – Sam & Michael

Last minute wedding planning - Sam & Michael Sam contacted me around two weeks before the date they were planning on having their midweek wedding. It was a last minute decision for herself and Micheal. As we were checking out the stunning lakeside location for their ceremony, she told me that they had been engaged for a while now and although they had put plans in place for a wedding before, things just kept coming up which would put pay to it all! So they decided to ditch the idea of a big wedding and opted for just a small gathering of just their closest family and friends. And the decided that the sooner the better! Luckily Sam and her bridesmaid already had their dresses, the location was a beautiful spot on the farm where Micheal works and they would have a dinner at home afterwards. The only things to do was to let everyone know and then organise the celebrant and photographer! Being a midweek wedding I was available and jumped at the chance to work with Sam & Micheal. I really love this type of wedding as being planned in such a short time-frame everything was very relaxed and easygoing. Being February they opted for a later 5.30pm ceremony, which meant by the time we headed off for their photoshoot, the light was just lovely! Sam & Micheal, thank you so much for having me along to photograph your special day! xxx
