Wairarapa Family Photographer - Chloe and Family It that time of year when you can really make the most of outdoor photography sessions. Chloe contacted me as it was important for her to have some natural, relaxed, documentary style images of he family. She really wanted them taken outdoors, so I suggested that my lifestyle portrait session would be a perfect fit for her. We opted for Henley Lake in Masterston so that the girls had plenty of space to run around and explore. :)

Arhhhhh.....autumn colours! You go past a fun family photoshoot outdoors in autumn. Making the most the wonderful colours, soft light and a great opportunity to throw all the leaves around! What kid, big or small doesn't love a good old leaf throwing fight! Sharisse x
Its always a pleasure to catch up with my families and meet their new additions. Jan and Andrew came along to see me with Elsie, and this time it was Bryn's turn in the limelight. I really loved seeing how Elsie was such a loving and protective big sister. Sharisse x
Winter is such a fabulous time for family photographs! Don't be put of by the cold weather - its a great excuse to rug up and enjoy some of that beautiful, soft winter light! I have photographed this gorgeous family a few time s now - each when their boys were newborns. This time, it was time for something different so we went for a documentary approach to their family photographs - which was great for giving their two energetic boys lots of space and time to run around and have fun! Living on a lifestyle block that we had the perfect backdrop for their session. Sharisse x

When Katie told me that they were based on a sheep and beef farm out at Tinui, I knew that we wouldn't need to go anywhere else to capture their family photographs. And it didn't disappoint! I loved hanging out with this wonderful family and getting to see what they get up to as a family out on the farm.
I have been lucky enough to photograph this beautiful family over the years - each pregnancy & newborn session with all three children. Its always an absolute please to see how they have grown and welcome the newest family member. This time we did things a little differently and opted for an outdoor lifestyle on their wee block of land, where they have just finished building their new home, nestled in among the olive trees. I always love the natural flow of shoots like this - giving the children time to be themselves and play in an environment where they feel so at home.

Wairarapa Family Photographer - April & Family April had just recently moved over to the Wairarapa from Wellington and wanted some updated family photographs, but also to celebrate their new adventure as a family. So I thought what better place than to head down to one my favorite local summer spots. Its such a gorgeous wee camping area with a beautiful river & swimming hole, just as the river exits the ranges. The cool thing was these guys hadn't been there before so it was awesome to introduce them to some of Featherston's best assets. :) I reckon there might be few trips down here once summer returns!
Wairarapa Newborn Photographer - Meet Jett! It the second time I have photographed this lovely family. Little Mr Fox now has a new brother. Its taken a little getting used to but I think they will firm friends in no time! Gorgeous Jett is the spitting image of his big brother as a baby - many with a touch less hair! Jett's mum brought in a beautiful hand knitted blanket for him to be photographed on. It was so warm and snuggly - perfect for these winter nights! Wairarapa Pet Photographer - My own fur baby I don’t usually photograph pets, but when I approached to photograph two dogs who were brothers, I took on the challenge. One of the dogs, Oliver had been unwell for some time, so it was important for their mum to get some lovely photographs of them together. They have both passed on, and the family now have a beautiful framed set of photographs on their wall. After this shoot I decided that I needed to photograph my own fur baby, Moose. He wasn’t overly impressed but he played along! I am so glad I did this as today was such an incredibly sad day for our family. We had to let our Moose Dog go. He was just under four years old and was a massive part of our family. The boys loved him to pieces – he comforted them when they were sad [...]
